What you need:
- Chalk Paint – Any color you prefer
- Paint brush
- Sandpaper – 120 grit
- Clean dry clothes
- Paint wax
Once you’ve decided which piece of furniture to dry brush, use a rug to clean off any debris. If you are using a stained furniture with decent paint on it already, start with this as your base color. Otherwise, look for another shade to use as your base color.
Now let’s begin!
Grab your brush. Gently dip the tip of the brush into your paint can – make sure to dip lightly!
Wipe your brush onto a clean rag or cloth until it becomes dry.
Once the brush dries, you can start painting. Start by lightly brushing the parts you want to appear aged. It’s smart to start off light and small because it’s easier to retouch than to erase.
When you have finished covering the entire furniture, wait patiently as it sits and dries.
When everything is dry, take your sandpaper and remove any excess paint!
Use a clean cloth to wipe clean and apply a paint wax for finishing.
