Reuse Your Old Tire To A New Fancy Seating Material

Turning this re-purposed old tire into a furniture piece is just the right kind of DIY project that we need. Can you imagine recreating a new chair out of an old tire you probably have lying around in your garage? At best, it’s not just a chair. It’s an ottoman!  You can even have a rustic style living room thanks to this fancy yet practical DIY. For variance, just use a different sized tire.  We’re about to show you 5 steps on how you can acquire this creative piece of furniture.

You’ll need:

• Tire
• MDF Sheet
• Rope (preferably coconut rope)
• Rubber Adhesive
• Brush
• Pair of Scissors

Let’s start:

1. Apply the rubber adhesive on the MDF

Make sure to put enough rubber adhesive on the edge of the MDF so that it sticks well.

2. Place MDF sheet on tire

Make sure the tire is clean. Remember that it’s difficult to paste anything on a dirty surface.

3. Apply adhesive on tire

The next step is to apply adhesive to the tire.

4. Wrap rope on tire

Just continue doing it all the way around until you cover the entire tire.

5. Wrap rope on MDF sheet

Cover the MDF sheet as well and you’ll have the same result as the image above.

You’re done!

Finish your DIY by adding a piece of foam on it.
