10 Furniture Ideas For the Holidays To Bring Festive Cheer
Furniture To Match All Your Christmas Decor
It’s about time you start decorating for the Christmas season! My preparations are already in full swing, but I hit a small roadblock recently. I realized, I’ve been paying to much attention to my Christmas tree and other decor, but not my furniture! So my home looked a bit mismatched with festive decor but not-quite-festive furniture. But if you’re thinking I bought brand-new furniture ideas for the holidays, you’re wrong! I just needed the right inspiration to tweak and glam up my existing furniture. So today, I’ll be sharing some of the furniture ideas for the holidays I used for my home this year.
1. Festive Dining
This dining nook looks so festive, don’t you agree? But if you take a closer look at the space, you’ll see how the furniture is actually pretty plain! White chairs, a white table, and bright red cushions. One of the more simple furniture ideas for the holidays you can try: match your furniture colors to your decor colors! If you’ve got traditional Christmas red decor, make it consistent with your pillows, cushions, and furniture ideas for the holidays.
2. Hot Cocoa Cart
Trade in your bar cart for a hot cocoa cart this season! This is one of those ingenious, small space-friendly furniture ideas for the holidays. It’s family-friendly, and you can always make spiked hot chocolate for the adults.
3. Styled Media Console
When it comes to furniture ideas for the holidays, it’s all about the styling. If you’re going for a more rustic Christmas feel, bring out your favorite rustic furniture then just add holiday sparkle and style!
4. Transformed Tables
Table leg covers? Count me in! These are so fun, and they’re easy ways to prep your existing furniture for the holidays. Just slip them on the table legs and you’re good to go.
5. Neutrals
With all the sparkle, color, and lights going on with your decor, sometimes neutrals and basics are the best furniture ideas for the holidays. If you’ve got a bright set-up, a black table can add a contemporary touch. Or plain wood can give your holiday set-up a cozy feel.
6. Gift Tables
Don’t have space for a tree and presents under? Take a bench or table, set up a small Christmas tree, and place your presents there! It’s unique, creative, and most of all, small-space friendly.
7. Festive Chairs
Here’s another way to dress up your furniture ideas for the holidays: tie a ribbon! Or, add a garland, place some sparkle, anything you find festive. I did this to my dining chairs and they look like totally different furniture now!
8. All-White
Color is a huge part of the season as well. If Christmas to you means a winter wonderland, then why not go for a chic, all-white theme? It’s so Scandinavian chic.
9. Christmas Tree Shelves
Have some time to DIY this season? Make your own Christmas tree shelves! Whether you need the extra storage space or just need more furniture ideas for the holidays, you’ll love making these. One of my favorite furniture ideas for the holidays, that’s for sure!
10. Cozy Seating
Sometimes it’s not about the look of your furniture, but the feel as well. How do the holidays feel to you? Bright, cheery? Festive? Bright? Or maybe cozy? Find furniture to match your mood, just like these cozy accent chairs with even cozier faux fur blankets.
