Create On Your Own Lampshade, Lantern, and Yarn Globe All In One Complete Project!

I’m always looking for great DIY projects to add personality and uniqueness to my home. And I’ve found yet another simple project! These colorful DIY decorative lanterns are perfect for making your home look livelier. They’re very cheap and so easy to make! Plus, you can enjoy these decorative lanterns all year round, indoors and outdoors. The best part is, it’s a lampshade, lantern, and yarn globe all in one! These decorative lanterns are definitely worth your time and effort.

Let’s get started!

Step 1. Prepare The Materials

You’ll need: 

• Cotton yarn/ Hemp cord
• Basic School glue
• A large bouncing ball

The size of the ball depends on how big you want your lantern to be. Try a few different sizes!

Step 2. Prepare The Glue Mixture

Mix an equal amount of glue with the amount of water, then blend them together.

Step 3. Wrap The Yarn

Soak your hemp cord/yarn to your glue mixture and start wrapping the ball with it. Carefully hold the first roll of the yard into place as you continue to wrap your ball.

Step 4. Remove The Ball

Let it dry for two days. As it dries, the original color will be retained. Deflate the ball and slowly pull the yard away.

Step 5. Assemble The Wire Lamp

You’ll need:

• A hanging light fixture
• A light bulb
• Two pieces clamp connector
• A quarter inch washer

You may want to ask help from someone who knows how to assemble the light. But you can do it on your own if you’re confident enough.
